Caitlin Clark Opens Up About Golfing Passion and Balancing WNBA Career

Caitlin Clark, one of basketball’s brightest stars, has recently revealed her frustration with being unable to pursue her love for golf due to the WNBA’s summer schedule. Clark, who was named the league’s Rookie of the Year after a remarkable debut season, shared that the only downside of her basketball career is how it affects her time on the golf course.

At just 22 years old, Clark has already made a name for herself as a top talent in women’s basketball, playing as a guard for the Indiana Fever. However, in a recent interview with ESPN, she opened up about how her commitment to the WNBA forces her to put her golfing passion on hold. With the WNBA season running through the summer, she finds it difficult to spend much time on the golf course, a sport she enjoys but has had to push to the background.

“Everybody thinks I’m way better than I actually am,” Clark said with a laugh during the interview. “The only downside about the WNBA is during the summer, that’s when you golf. So my golf game is having to take a backseat to basketball.”

Clark’s candid remarks shed light on the challenges many professional athletes face in balancing their careers with other interests. While basketball remains her primary focus, her love for golf has sparked curiosity among fans about her skills on the course. Despite being known for her basketball prowess, Clark’s humility about her golfing abilities shows that even top athletes need time to refine their game in other sports.

As Clark continues to dominate the court, it remains to be seen whether she will find time in the off-season to work on her swing. For now, the basketball world is watching her rise in the WNBA, but golf enthusiasts may have to wait a little longer to see how her game translates to the fairways.
